On April 1, 1999, an anxious Colony recieved word from the Central Office that its petition had recieved the required 80% approval of the Chapters and National Officers, and were scheduled to be installed as Theta Gamma Chapter. After keeping a mindful eye on their email and seeing no "Ha ha, April Fools!" emails from Abe, the Chapter-elect celebrated and panicked at the same time, finalizing arrangements to host their installation. Just over two weeks later, on April 17, 1999, the Colony Certificate was reclaimed by Theta Tau, and was replaced by the Charter for Theta Gamma Chapter of Theta Tau. Brothers Fischer and Furman hosted the post-installation festivities at their house with guests from local chapters, chapters as far away as Mu and Eta Gamma, and National Officers. In its first competition, the team of Regent Bailey and Past-Regent Fischer defeated Grand Regent Haas and Grand Vice Regent Wilcox at the foosball table as the partygoers bore witness to this great victory.
